"why would you waste your time saving me though? why would anyone?! im still worthless."

"You're nt worthless" whispered Jeph "I've never met anyone worthless, least of all you. If someone thins you're perfect then you're obviously worth someone, and I think our friendship and the sobbing guy back there proves you mean something to us"

quinn looked back in the direction of bert "why would he even want me back after all that ive done to him?"

"Because he loves you, and in his eyes you can do no evil" smirked Jeph.

"b-bert? are oyu okay?" dan tried his best to comfort bert but he really hd no idea what to do.

"Leave me to die" mumbled Bert from where he was curled on the floor.

Dan sat down on the pavement next to bert and pulled him into a hug "he'll come back bert. i promise he will."

Bert sobbe into hsi side "I can't lose him Dan, I-I'll kill myself!"

"no no no, bert he'll come back i promise" dan looked around anxiously unsurfe id quinn actually would come back. "he has to."

"we... we have to go back jeph." quinn pushed jeph away and ran back in the direction he remebered coming from.

Jep grinned as Quinn started back, running after him quickly.

Bert just sobbed patheticcly.

Quinn completely froze when he saw Bert sobbing on the floor.

"b-Bert?" he whimpered, hoping hebwould take him back yet again.

Bert looked up, eyes puffy and red from the tears "Qu-Quinn?" he whispered, unsure if he was seeing things or not.

Quinn was unsure if it was okay to hug Bert or not

he collapsed onthe flloor aanyway and pulled Bert into a tight hug, sobbing into his shoulder.

Bert pulled him closer and sobbed into Quinns shoulder "Please don;t leave me"

"i-i..... i cant promise anything bert. but i'll try to stay." quinn felt so horrible for saying this, but couldnt bring himself to lie. "and if i do ever leave. youll be the one i'll miss the most."

Bert just clung to him, sbbing into his chest "I love you"

Quinn hugged Bert even tighter. "i love you too bert.i always will"

Bert slowly stopped crying and sat up "We should-we should all get away"

"yeah.. i guess youre right." quinn stood up and looked around at dan and jeph "lets go" he walked towards the bus station yet again.

Bert fllowed, clinging to his hand.

Jeph folowed, hood pulled over his face.

Dan grabbed jephs hand as they walked down the street.

"were gonna be okay." he mumbled, even though this was likely to be far from okay

Jeph looked up at him and smiled "As long as I'm with you, everything will eb perfect"

Quinn kept glancing over at bert as they walked down the street, glad that he was back with him but still somehow wanting to run to some high bridge.

He just squeezed berts hand tighter and hoped he could still be saved

Bert didn't look iup from his feet, merely clinging to Quinns hand like a lifeline. When the bus finally arrived he glanced at Jeph.

Jeph almost tripped over himself in hisd eagerness. He walked up to the driver and tried to overcomne his anxiety
"F-F-Four tickets to the end of the line p-p-please"

The bus driver just raised his eyebrow at jeph and passed himthe tickets.

"COMEON JEEEEEEPPH!" dan screamed, pulling him to the back seats over-excitedly "i have no idea where were going but i am so excited i might faint" he buriied his face in jephs hoodie to stop himself from screaming again
